I believe that success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination. Some people succeed because they are destined to, but most people succeed because they are determined to.
The will to succeed must be firmly planted in your mind. In life, we must take risks if we want to succeed. Success is all about having the courage to take risks. Therefore it is rightly said, do not pray for an easy life; pray to be stronger. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for power equal to your tasks. Then your achievement shall not be a miracle, but you shall!
Do you best and leave the rest in God’s hands with the trust that you are God’s child living in his kingdom. When you use what you have to the best of your ability, you will discover that your ability is more than adequate to reach your goal.
Dare to dream
Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian American woman astronaut. She has left an indelible impression on all aspiring Indian astronauts. The success of Kalpana as an astronaut shows clearly her outstanding qualities which made her what she was: strong in character; a daring dreamer with a willingness to work towards those dreams, and an untiring, fighting spirit. She had the will to succeed. One must have that will to succeed in any given field.
Don’t expect miracles to happen, but realize the miracle that you are. There is gold hidden inside you. You have enormous personal power. You can choose what to read and how to use your time. You can choose how to spend your money. You can choose your friends, your skills and your aspirations. You have in you the charisma which Kalpana had, which Kalam has, and which every hero has the will to succeed, to achieve her/his goal.
