We all like to hear the words, ‘well done!’ ‘Great performance!’ ‘Brilliant Job!’ ‘Excellent!’ We do hear it often in our lives when we perform anything exceptional. Where do they come from? What is your measure of excellence?
How to become an Excellent Person
“The Statue and Marble Floor”
Visitors from all around the world adore a stunning marble statue in a museum. Every day, tourists arrive and are astounded by its splendor. Everyone admires it for its beauty, grace, and perfection.
And yet, directly beneath their feet sits the marble floor, silent, undetected, carrying the weight of innumerable footsteps every day.

The museum was about to close one evening when the floor talked.
FLOOR (in a melancholy, sincere voice):
“Oh, sweet statue… In the same mine, we were born. The same birthplace, the same time, and the same day. We both turned into marble in the same way, but everyone loves you, is in awe of your beauty, and keeps you in interiors with velvet and crystal glass, and me? All day long, I get trodden on. Nobody even looks at me. Why is life so unjust?
STATUE (Gently, while grinning):
“Oh, my good pal… Indeed, we shared the same mine. However, the disparity has an explanation.
The sculptor first put you to the test. And you recoiled and gave way when he used his instruments. He spared you additional pain.
I put up with the agony when he tested me. I resisted the strain. After that, he worked on me for months, painstakingly and patiently molding me through what must have been the most painful procedure.
That very suffering and perseverance made me into the statue that the world looks at today.
The lesson, my friend, is to not back down from obstacles that God presents to you. Don’t ask Him to remove them. Feel happy for them. Because He is molding, refining, and preparing you for greatness through these obstacles.
Your challenges are opportunities rather than penalties. They serve as the sculptor’s tools, molding your resilience, strength, and character. When life puts a lot of pressure on you, what emerges shows what you are really made of.

LIFE LESSON:
“Life is not a bed of roses.” You will face obstacles in your quest for excellence, including illness, failure, setbacks, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
However, these are the times when your character is shaped. Every challenge you meet, every obstacle you overcome, polishes your inner marble.
Don’t discount your dreams. A life devoid of dreams is one devoid of hope and meaning. You only have yourself to offer, so make the most of it.
“What comes out of you when you are squeezed is what is inside you,” as Wayne Dyer once stated.
The peace of mind and self-satisfaction that come from knowing you gave it your all and became the best version of yourself are what define true success, not praise from others.
ENDING :
“So, when life puts you to the test… Recall the statue and the marble floor. Accept the difficulties. Put up with the suffering. The world will eventually respect not only who you are but also who you have evolved into.
