Initially you need to eliminate certain unproductive and unhealthy activities because it distracts you in many ways or slow your progress and which keep you from moving forward. so it really important.
Stop anticipating too much. It is a disparaging behavior which gives disappointment in your life.
Some people always expect things in certain way, and expect people to have like as you expected when it doesn’t work, you feel sad and lose motivation.
So first drain these unreality you live in, remove the scenarios you play in your head of how things should be, instead accept them as they are and keep doing what you know is right.

Because you fixed the goal and you are working to achieve your goal and striving for better life. Whereas others chose the easier way of living, spoiling in activities which just brings temporary happiness.
