Your self-esteem is the image of your self-concept – what you think of yourself. It’s about your self-respect and self-worth. When you think and feel good about who you are, and consider yourself worthy of success, your self-esteem will raise high. You will feel like a winner – enthusiastic, confident, vibrant a go-getter, with deals low about her/his sense of self, and is hesitant, different, or complacent…the personality is dwarfed by low self-esteem.

People with high self-esteem start as winners. They accept themselves and love their very being. Their exuberance and confidence put them ahead of the others.
On the other hand, those with low self-esteem are handicapped in their attitude; they are apprehensive and tend to be losers even before the race begins. Such people have low acceptance of self and tread in life with a sense of shyness and fear. They tend to be meek. They fear failure and spend their energies trying to avoid failure, and not on winning no wonder that success remains elusive to them. They feel deficient in their own worth.
Small Story to understand the low self-esteem
In a rural locale, a wrestling match was on and the two wrestlers were fiercely engaged in outrivalling each other. The stronger of the two finally pinned the other down onto the ground and the match referee began the final countdown to declare the winner. It was then that the man on the ground asked the one on top of him, “Do you know who I am?” the other man replied saying, “No, “the man on the ground, writhing under the firm grip of the would-be winner, said, “I am the son of local chief. How dare you sit on me?” the other man immediately loosened his hold and profusely apologized, saying that he didn’t know about it. That was enough for the man lying on the ground to turn the tide and pin the other down to win the match.

In the above-mentioned story, the loser not lost because of lack of skill or strength it’s because of low self-esteem.
If you have a low self-esteem, you will have a poor thoughts and actions.
If you have a high self-esteem, your thought and actions empower you to accomplish your goals.
High self-esteem makes us feel stronger, taller and ready to take on the world.

Developing high self-esteem calls for conscious action and perseverance. It does not happen overnight. It takes reinforcement of positive thoughts and beliefs about yourself over a period of time to form a habit.
