Google Maps Team Treks Craggy Treads of Grand Canyon for Pictures

Google has taken pictures for Google maps. Google maps team treks on Rocky path, craggy treads of Grand Canyon where no car has gone before.

A Google team is on foot and made great effort to make Google map even more complete. A Google team captures panoramic views of amazing places around the world and finally adds them to Google map.  To capture the area, Google team used wearable backpacks with a camera system on top.

Team captures images from the Swiss Alps to amazon and Antarctica which is beyond the streets and included variety of urban cities, Ancient ruins, university campuses and sky resorts. 

Google also stated in official blog that the narrow ridges and steep, exposed paths of the Grand Canyon provide the perfect terrain for newest camera system. “The Trekker, which its operator controls through an Android phone and automatically, gathers photos as he walks and enables the gathering of high quality imagery from places that are only accessible on foot.

This week, photos are being captured from shares of South Rim at Grand Canyon national park, including the ridge, the famous Bright Angel Path and South Kaibab Path .

Google added, that “These panoramic views will soon be live on Google Maps, giving everyone from real-life visitors to armchair travelers the opportunity to marvel at this beautiful, majestic site from the comfort of their computers or mobile devices,”
