Hope Is Our Guide To The Future

Very frequently we all question ourselves. What is hope? Hope is nothing but our guide to the future. In these fierce times, many of us wonder what will become of the human race. That be contingent on what become of each human being. And that, in the ending analysis, be contingent on what each person wants out of life or what each person is.

Socrates said, “Know thyself”. Marcus Aurelius said, ‘Be thyself”. It goes further than this. Every day you need to think who you are; need to adjust your self-image to the fluctuating conditions of the day. The art of being yourself at your best is the art of unfolding your personality in to the person you want to be. By the grace of god you are what you are; glory in your selfhood, accept yourself and go from there.

A worthy place to begin is by having confidence in yourself and your determination, “trust yourself”, penned Emerson, “every heart vibrates to that string”. Champion the precise to be yourself; dare to be altered and to set your own configuration; live your own life and follow your own star. Respect yourself; you have the right to be here and you have important work to do. Don’t stand in your own shadow.

Get your little self out of the way so that your big self can step forward. Make the most of yourself by blowing the tiny spark of possibility within you in to the flare of achievement. Know your strengths and weakness; your relations to the universe; your potentialities; your spiritual heritage, your aims and purposes; take standard of yourself. Repeat to you: “Oh, Lord, help me reform the world beginning with me.

Be kind to yourself; learn to love yourself and to forgive yourself. Only by having right attitude towards ourselves only we can have the right attitude towards others.

In the relationship of yourself with all the other selves of the world follow a wise saying of William Shakespeare, who wrote; “To thine own self are true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be falsetto any man”.
